President Ari Goldstein
Ari Goldstein became involved with fandom as head of volunteers for Anglicon XII in 1998. He has worked in different capacities for Westercon 56, Westercon 65, and Cascadia Con. He is a founding board member of Rainfurrest. He has also been involved with Rustycon and Norwescon. He was Treasurer of SWOC for many years. Ari is a practicing defense attorney in Washington. Treasurer Katharine Bond
Katharine Bond is chair of Norwescon 38 and 39 (in 2015 and 2016). She has been involved with Norwescon for over six years, first as legal adviser; she was instrumental in obtaining 501(c)3 tax status for the Northwest Science Fiction Society, Norwescon's corporate entity. She served as treasurer in 2013-2014. She also served as legal advisor to Sasquan. Elected to the board of SWOC in 2013.
Vice-President Sally Woehrle
Sally Woehrle was chair of Sasquan, the 73rd> World Science Fiction Convention, held in Spokane in August 2015. She is one of the founders of SWOC and has played an important role in many past projects, notably as chair of Westercon 50 in Seattle in 1997, as Facilities Director of Cascadia Con, the 2005 NASFiC, and recently as Chair of ConComCon, the annual Northwest conrunning conference, held in Portland in 2016. Elected to the board in 2016, and has served many years in the past.
Secretary Alex von Thorn
Alex von Thorn was recruited in 2002 by Bobbie DuFault to be vice-chair of the successful bid the Seattle in 2005 NASFiC, which became Cascadia Con, for which he also served as Program Director. He was actively involved in the Seattle in 2011 Worldcon Bid, helping Bobbie launch the bid at the Nippon 2007 Worldcon. He was Publications Director for Westercon 65, also known as "ConClusion". In 2011, Alex was chosen to be bid chair for for the Spokane in 2015 Worldcon Bid, which won a hotly-contested site selection vote in 2013, and he served as Webmaster for Sasquan, the 73rd World Science Fiction Convention; he has worked on Worldcons since 1996, including the role of webmaster for Chicon 7. He has been a fan writer for many years and won the Aurora (Science Fiction in Canada) Award in 2002 for fan writing. He has attended and worked on hundreds of conventions, and is the founder of SFContario, Toronto's fann science fiction convention. As a game designer, he has worked on projects for TSR, Victory Games, and Steve Jackson Games. Served on the board of SWOC in the previous decade, returned to the board in 2015. .
Director Marah Searle-Kovacevic
Marah Searle-Kovacevic has been active in Northwest fandom since 2002 as part of the Seattle in 2005 NASFiC Bid. She was Social Media Director and Hospitality Division Head for Sasquan, the 2015 Worldcon. SHe chaired ConComCon in Spokane in 2012 and co-chaired ConComCon in Vancouver in 2009. She was Operations Division Co-Head for Cascadia Con in Seattle in 2005. She has been involved in Worldcon fandom since 1996 with the Chicago in 2000 Worldcon Bid and has worked on many Worldcons and bids since. She is active in Toronto fandom, serving as chair of SFContario 4 and 5 in 2014-2015. Elected to the board in 2016.
Director Jerry Gieseke
Jerry Gieseke has served on several concoms and as a board member for various fan organizations; he met Bobbie DuFault through fandom and later married her. He has done Publications for Angicon, Programming and Vice Chair for Rustycon, Program Second and Program DB for Orycon, Fan Tables at Norwescon, Hospitality Second for Westercon 54, Co-CHair of ConComCon, Hospitality Second for Conduit, Program Dartabase for Chicon 7. Jerry was actively involved with the Seattle in 2005 NASFiC Bid and Cascadia Con, the Seattle in 2011 Worldcon Bid, the Seattle in 2012 Westercon Bid and Westercon 65, and the Spokane in 2015 Worldcon Bid and Sasquan. He has created a online program schedule database application now used by several conventions including Orycon, Radcon, and Chicon 7. Elected to the board in 2015.
Director Pat Porter
Pat Porter first attended PSST 1 (Puget Sound Star Trekers) in 1977, then Norwescon 2. He served as Bid Chair of the Seattle in 2002 Worldcon Bid from 1996 until the bid was withdrawn in 1998. He has played an in=mportant role representing SWOC events at conventions in the Northwest, at Worldcons, and at other conventions. He was Vice-Chair of Cascadia Con, the 2005 NASFiC in Seattle. He ran Logistics and organied the at-con timeline for Sasquan, the 2015 World Science Fiction Convention. Elected to the baord in 2015.
